DATE: 9/2/2020 CLOSING DATE: UNITIL FILLED POSITION: EMS Paramedic PAY GRADE: 107 ($41936 - $52420) DEPARTMENT: Emergency Medical Services Responsibilities: The fundamental responsibility of the Paramedic is to preserve life, alleviate suffering, promote health, to do no harm, and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care. The Paramedic is qualified in advanced prehospital emergency care and services by a competency-based educational program of clinical, didactic, and practice emergency vehicle operator as well as a provider of prehospital advanced life support (ALS). The standard of practice of the Paramedic shall be under the most current edition of the US DOT “Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic: National Standard Curriculum”, as modified by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Bureau of EMS, and Anderson County Emergency Medical Services. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalency 1 to 3 years’ experience REQUIRED LICENSES or CERTIFICATION • Current South Carolina State Driver’s License. • Current South Carolina State and/or National Registered Certification as Paramedic. • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS). • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS). • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Certification (PALS). DATE: July 21, 2020 CLOSING DATE: UNTIL FILLED POSITION: Entry Grant Navigator - 18 Month grant funded position PAY GRADE: 106 ($38,124 to $47,655) DEPARTMENT: Economic Development RESPONSIBILITIES: The Navigator provides direct services to returning citizens transitioning from local detention centers and/or to citizens experiencing employment barriers due to a criminal history background to improve individualized outcomes and reduce recidivism. The Navigator will coordinate supportive services to citizens with multiple barriers to employment while expanding both the base of employers willing to accept applicants with a criminal history background and employers utilizing the Federal Bonding Program. The Navigator works with appropriate partners and program participants to address criminogenic needs as identified by screening and assessment, creating pathways to successful community reintegration Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sociology, psychology, criminology, human services, or a related field and 1 to 3 years’ professional experience, or any combination of education and experience.
