DATE: 11/25/2019 CLOSING DATE: UNTIL FILLED POSITION: Senior Appraiser PAY GRADE: 110 ($55,817 - $69,772) DEPARTMENT: Assessor’s Office Responsibilities: Appraises real property and mobile homes to determine fair market value and assess taxes in accordance with prescribed schedules while performing statistical analysis using economic, accounting, and real estate appraisal principles. Appraises property using the sales comparison approach, the cost approach, and also the income approach using direct capitalization method and gross rent multipliers. Appears before appeals boards and courts from the Administrative Law Court up to the Supreme Court to defend County appraisals. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field and minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the appraisal and taxation process and/or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a South Carolina real estate appraiser’s license. Must complete fourteen (14) hours of continuing education credits biennially. Must possess a valid SC driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Accepts animals from the public and Animal Control officers, educates and assists the pet-owning public. Cares for a wide variety of unwanted animals.
Provide daily care of animals and the facility to the highest standards expected by Anderson County. Feed and give water to animals. Clean equipment and living spaces of animals. Monitor animals and record information related to diet, physical condition, and behavior. Exercise animals.
Operates and maintains a variety of light and heavy motor equipment used in the collection, transporting and disposal of Solid Waste at a designated landfill.
