Must be available to work every Saturday 10 am to 4 pm and Tuesdays from 1 to 7 pm. Assisting Director and Curator with historical research work, cataloging and general administrative work including answering phone, ringing sales in store, working front desk of Museum when needed, dusting artifacts and cleaning.
Provide daily care of animals and the facility to the highest standards expected by Anderson County. Feed and give water to animals. Clean equipment and living spaces of animals. Monitor animals and record information related to diet, physical condition, and behavior. Exercise animals.
Performs a wide variety of tasks which includes, but not limited to: distribution of bids, receipt of requisitions, update of qualified vendor lists, request bids for goods and services, assist with request for various Records and other duties as required.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned Roads and Bridges crew in maintaining County roads within area of assigned responsibility.
Directs, coordinates and manages through staff the varied activities of the Engineering Section of the Roads and Bridges Department. Performs complex technical civil engineering related work for environmental, water, sewer, highway, and other Roads & Bridges projects and programs.
Operates a wide variety of grass cutting equipment and tools utilized in preventive maintenance activities. Must be able to help with drying bed maintenance and cleaning at wastewater treatment plant.
Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks utilized in road construction and maintenance activities.
Accepts animals from the public and Animal Control officers, educates and assists the pet-owning public. Cares for a wide variety of unwanted animals.
Performs full range of maintenance, repair and overhauling duties on a wide variety of County trucks and heavy equipment. Must be certified in Automotive Services of Excellence (ASE).
