The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is accepting applications for the position of Detective. Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division are highly motivated individuals that are able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Detectives are available to respond to assignments twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, participate in call rotations as scheduled, and are available for call out for major scenes. Preferred qualifications include: · Education: College Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field. · Experience: Three (3) years of previous law enforcement experience, two (2) of which must be at the level of Criminal Detective/Investigator, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. · Licensure & Certification: Requires certification as a South Carolina Law Enforcement Officer. · All levels of education and experience will be taken into consideration during the evaluation process.
