Social Media & Web Coordinator
The Anderson County Media Department is responsible for the development of strategic communications planning, leveraging technology such as the internet and social media, to enhance outreach efforts that will educate and engage the public about Anderson County services. We assist with responses to media requests and assist departments with education and outreach through a variety of methods, including video production by Anderson County TV, social media platforms and the county’s website.
Anderson County TV (ACTV) is on the air! Check it out on Charter Spectrum Channel 193 or the County's YouTube Channel. This initiative is being pursued as an outlet to provide citizens with information relating to all facets of Anderson County life. The primary goal is to provide our citizens in all parts of the County with pertinent information regarding governmental operations, the health and welfare of our communities, and upcoming events.

The Belton Gun Club will host the Battle of Belton, South Carolina State Championship International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) Match on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. The IDPA State Championship Match, sponsored locally by Sportsman’s Warehouse, will feature 200 participants from 16 states and three countries.
Anderson County Councilmember Gracie Floyd will be hosting two Kickoff Meetings for the new South Anderson Community Development Planning Initiative. The initiative will guide priorities and strategies for potential community development activities in the unincorporated area south of the Anderson city limits.
American Bass Anglers announced today the Bass Pro Shops Open Series South Carolina Division and Georgia Division will hold their final event of the 2019 season on October 05-06, 2019 on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina. Anglers from both States are competing for cash and prizes as well as positions in the 2020 Ray Scott Championship to be held on Lake Hartwell in April 2020, where over $400,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs.
A key component of our work involves partnership with area organizations, including Visit Anderson, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Anderson County Economic Development Office to emphasize the benefits of conducting business in our county.
