The Anderson County Media Department is responsible for the development of strategic communications planning, leveraging technology such as the internet and social media, to enhance outreach efforts that will educate and engage the public about Anderson County services. We assist with responses to media requests and assist departments with education and outreach through a variety of methods, including video production by Anderson County TV, social media platforms and the county’s website.


Anderson County TV (ACTV) is on the air!  Check it out on Charter Spectrum Channel 193 or the County's YouTube Channel. This initiative is being pursued as an outlet to provide citizens with information relating to all facets of Anderson County life.  The primary goal is to provide our citizens in all parts of the County with pertinent information regarding governmental operations, the health and welfare of our communities, and upcoming events.

County Announces Town Hall Meeting in Downtown Anderson

County Council has scheduled a town hall meeting concerning the proposed County road fee. The meeting will take place in County Council Chambers on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Anderson, 101 South Main Street, Anderson, on September 16th beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Lake Hartwell Ready for Two-Day T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League Tournament

The T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Savannah River Division will wrap up their tournament season for anglers with a two- day BFL Super Tournament on Lake Hartwell, Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $11,000 and $4,500 respectively in the two-day event.

The City of Belton to Host a Groundbreaking Event to Celebrate Upcoming Improvements at the Belton Landing

The City of Belton will hold a groundbreaking event at Belton Landing on the Saluda River of Wednesday, September 11 at 11:00 AM to celebrate the start of a major redevelopment effort at the facility.  The event will take place at 2520 SC Hwy 247, Belton SC, 29627.
