The Anderson County Media Department is responsible for the development of strategic communications planning, leveraging technology such as the internet and social media, to enhance outreach efforts that will educate and engage the public about Anderson County services. We assist with responses to media requests and assist departments with education and outreach through a variety of methods, including video production by Anderson County TV, social media platforms and the county’s website.
Anderson County TV (ACTV) is on the air! Check it out on Charter Spectrum Channel 193 or the County's YouTube Channel. This initiative is being pursued as an outlet to provide citizens with information relating to all facets of Anderson County life. The primary goal is to provide our citizens in all parts of the County with pertinent information regarding governmental operations, the health and welfare of our communities, and upcoming events.

Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced today that Lake Hartwell has been selected to host the fifth event of the 25th season of the FLW Tour, April 23-26, 2020, in Anderson, South Carolina. The announcement comes on the heels of FLW’s announcement in May that the 37th annual T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American would also be held on Lake Hartwell. That event is slated for April 30-May 2.
County Council has scheduled a town hall meeting concerning the proposed County road fee. The meeting will take place at Wren Fire Department, 2209 Highway 86, Piedmont, SC, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
