The Anderson County Media Department is responsible for the development of strategic communications planning, leveraging technology such as the internet and social media, to enhance outreach efforts that will educate and engage the public about Anderson County services. We assist with responses to media requests and assist departments with education and outreach through a variety of methods, including video production by Anderson County TV, social media platforms and the county’s website.

 

Anderson County TV (ACTV) is on the air!  Check it out on Charter Spectrum Channel 193 or the County's YouTube Channel. This initiative is being pursued as an outlet to provide citizens with information relating to all facets of Anderson County life.  The primary goal is to provide our citizens in all parts of the County with pertinent information regarding governmental operations, the health and welfare of our communities, and upcoming events.

Voters Requesting Absentee Ballots for June Primaries

Absentee voting by mail is one option for voters who are age 65 and older, who has a disability, who is a caregiver, or who can’t go to the polls due to their job. Anderson Library Now Offering Contactless Curbside Pickup

The Anderson County Library System is offering contactless curbside pickup of books, DVDs, and other limited materials by appointment at most library locations beginning Wednesday, April 22. Patrons may call ahead to request an item and set an appointment time to pick up items at their local library. Staff can also provide recommendations based on a reader’s interests.

Census Bureau Releases Local Estimated Response Rates to 2020 Census

According to Census Bureau estimates released in the past week, the City of Belton and the Town of Honea Path, followed closely by the Town of Pendleton and the City of Anderson, lead the way locally in response rate to the 2020 Census.
