Four Anderson County Precincts are being re-designated and two are moving to new polling locations.  These changes have come about due to the recent settlement from November 2018 with the United States Department of Justice to ensure accessibility of polling locations to persons with disabilities, and growing concerns of long wait times at the polls on election day.

County Council has scheduled two town hall meetings concerning the proposed County road fee. The meetings will be held on:

County Council District 4 – Wednesday, September 25th at Double Springs Fire Department, 2601 Old Dobbins Bridge Road, Townville, SC beginning at 6:00 p.m.
County Council District 6 – Monday, September 30th at Powdersville Fire Department, 10600 Anderson Road, Easley, SC beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Regional Voter Registration Forums Being Held

Anderson County Elections Board will be hosting regional Voter Registration Forums around the county. These meetings are designed to bring awareness of polling location changes in some areas, along with precinct re-designation, importance of registering to vote before deadlines, and providing updated voter information such as name changes, and address changes. Over all the goal of the meetings are to prepare citizens before 2020 Elections.

Lake Hartwell Ready for Two-Day T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League Tournament

The T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Savannah River Division will wrap up their tournament season for anglers with a two- day BFL Super Tournament on Lake Hartwell, Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $11,000 and $4,500 respectively in the two-day event.
