SUMMARY:Needs Assessment Public Hearing
DESCRIPTION:Anderson County with the assistance of the Appalachian Council of Governments is conducting an online public hearing to allow for public input on community needs and priorities for housing\, public facilities\, and economic development. The public hearing will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday May 18th\, 2022 at the Historic Courthouse\, 101 South Main Street\, Anderson\, SC.\n\nAnderson County will conduct a needs assessment for activities\, which might be undertaken to meet identified needs\, including the estimated amount proposed\, to be used for activities\, which will benefit persons of low and moderate income\, as well as present the County’s Citizen Participation Plan.\n\nThis public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the County’s Citizen Participation Plan\, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program\, providing for the participation of Anderson County citizens in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects that involve CDBG funds. The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the Historic Courthouse\, 101 South Main Street\, Anderson SC\, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM\, Monday through Friday.\n\nPersons with questions or comments concerning the public hearing or the Citizen Participation Plan may contact Jennifer Vissage at the Appalachian Council of Governments\, PO Box 6668\, Greenville\, SC 29606\, telephone number (864) 242-9733.\n\nAnderson County does not discriminate based on age\, color\, religion\, sex\, national origin\, familial status or disability in the admission or access to\, or treatment or employment in its federally assisted programs or activities.
