Powdersville Absentee Location for the Democratic Presidential Primary

The Anderson County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, in partnership with the Anderson County Library System, Anderson County Government, and county Legislative Delegation, is pleased to announce the establishment of an absentee voting location at the Powdersville Branch Library, located at 4 Civic Court, Powdersville SC, 29642.

Anderson County Legislative Delegation to hold Special Session in January

Senator Michael W. Gambrell, Chairman of the Anderson County Legislative Delegation has announced two resignations, which leaves two seats available on the two boards / commissions listed below.  Senator Gambrell will call a Special Session in Columbia, SC in January to fill these two vacant seats:

Tri-County Technical College Commission (One Seat)
Anderson County Transportation Committee (One Seat)

Construction at Broadway Lake from December 2 – 8, 2019

On Monday, December 2nd, Anderson County will begin to gradually lower the water level at Broadway Lake.  The lake level is expected to be 5½ feet below full pool by Friday, December 8th for enhancements. The public will have access to facilities during this period.

FLW Announces Schedule for 2020 College Fishing Tournament

Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) announced Thursday the schedule, rules and entry dates for the 2020 FLW College Fishing presented by YETI season, highlighted by the FLW College Fishing National Championship on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Florida, and advancement opportunities for anglers to compete in the Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American and the FLW Series Championship. All teams also now have the freedom to add as many non conference tournaments to their schedule as they like.
