Crappie USA Travels to Lake Hartwell

Participants will compete in amateur and pro divisions at the May 4, 2019 crappie tournament at Anderson, SC. Crappie anglers from several states will travel to Lake Hartwell to participate in a Crappie USA (CUSA) Tournament Trail event presented by Bass Pro Shops Cabela’s. Local and traveling anglers will be vying for cash, prizes, and an opportunity to compete at the 2019 CUSA Classic which will feature a guaranteed payout of $125,000 in cash and prizes.

Three Anderson County Precincts are moving to new polling locations, two due to the recent settlement from November with the United States Department of Justice to ensure accessibility of polling locations to persons with disabilities, and one due to concerns over the location.

Visit Anderson and Anderson County took a leap of faith when in 2016 they put financial support behind two young professional anglers and budding stars Brian Latimer of Belton and Brandon Cobb of Greenwood. In the past 45 days, that leap of faith has come full circle as Brian Latimer, and Brandon Cobb notched their first career wins on the FLW Tour and Bassmaster Elite Series respectively.
