Anderson County Announces Distribution of Farmers Market Senior Vouchers
Anderson County, S.C. – Anderson County will host an event to explain how seniors may apply for farmers market nutrition vouchers. The Senior Citizens Program will announce the process in which seniors may apply for a farmers market voucher on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Anderson County Farmers Market, 402 N. Murray Avenue, Anderson.
Rev. Emmanuel Donaldson, Pastor of Jacob Chapel will share details on how churches can assist in voucher sign-up for their seniors.
Anderson County seniors age 60 and older with low incomes will apply online during the month of May. Apply online at https://benefitsportal.dss.sc.gov/#/benefits/sfmnp/application. Approved seniors will pick up their SFMNP vouchers at The Anderson County Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, June 16 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
