NOTE: All SOSC activities have been cancelled until further notice. Please visit our FB page Area 14 Anderson County Special Olympics to stay update on any information.

Area 14 Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

Special Olympics contributes to the social and psychological development of people with physical and intellectual challenges. Through successful experiences in sports, they gain confidence and build a positive self-image which carries over into the classroom, the job, and the community.

Rainbow Gang enriches the lives of those with intellectual disabilities through recreational and leisure activities. Our unique program offers crafts, community field trips, and volunteer lead activities. Rainbow Gang also works hand-in-hand with Special Olympics Area 14 to provide year round sports training and activities to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
