Recycling Centers will no longer accept clear, brown, green glass, or aluminum cans.

Anderson County, S.C. (April 7, 2020) – Anderson County is continuing efforts to protect the health and well-being of both residents and employees. The County’s Solid Waste will no longer accept certain recyclable materials. The Recycling Centers will no longer take clear, brown, green glass, nor aluminum or steel cans. Please ask the ambassador for recycling details. This exception will be in effect until May 1; however, it is subject to change as the Coronavirus evolves. These items require manual sorting, and viruses may cling to the surface and may expose staff to COVID-19.

Anderson County Recycling Centers are operating on a regular schedule. Hours of operations for each site are available at www.andersoncountysc.org/solid-waste.  With the exception of the Honea Path Recycling Center, the Town has closed this site until further notice due to the COVID-19.

Please be patient as County staff are doing the best they can to continue to serve its citizens during this uncertain time.
