Functions and Responsibilities

Fleet Services is responsible for providing the employees of Anderson County with safe, reliable vehicles and equipment so that they may provide services of health, safety and well-being to the residents of Anderson County. They provide the highest levels of service possible to approximately 1,000 vehicles and equipment throughout the county using high quality products and services in a cost-effective manner.

Services Provided

  • Accurate scheduling and forecasting of preventive maintenance programs to avoid excessive or prolong wear and tear on vehicles and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance, minor & major repairs
  • Track, maintain and monitor fuel distribution at 2 fuel sites
  • Maintain a parts room on site with a current inventory of stock parts, fluids and tires for all of our vehicles and equipment
  • Operate using software designed specifically for fleet services
  • Provide monthly vehicle expenses for internal departments
  • Asset management, budgeting and reporting
  • Record historical data and oversee the upgrading and liquidation of vehicles and equipment in our fleet
  • Provide off-site service and road calls
  • Offer training programs to our technicians which extends the knowledge and skills to implement change to keep up with the changing automotive industry
