The Anderson County Library System is offering contactless curbside pickup of books, DVDs, and other limited materials by appointment at most library locations beginning Wednesday, April 22. Patrons may call ahead to request an item and set an appointment time to pick up items at their local library. Staff can also provide recommendations based on a reader’s interests.

Only items in the Anderson County Library System are available to check out. To request materials and make your pickup appointment, please contact your local library during their current hours of operation:

Anderson Main Library: Monday through Friday 9 am – 6 pm

The Piedmont and Westside Community Center libraries remain closed to the public.

Books and other library materials may be returned in all library bookdrops. The Library continues to waive fines while buildings remain closed to the public. The Library is following CDC and DHEC recommendations with returned items to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus on all library materials.

WiFi access remains available 24/7 outside of every library location.

Curbside pickup and all other services are evaluated on a day-by-day basis to comply with local, state, and federal guidelines. As such, all pickups and hours of operation are subject to change. Visit www.AndersonLibrary.org or our Facebook page for the latest updates.

The Library continues to offer a temporary digital library card for anyone who lives or works in Anderson County. Access free eBooks, audiobooks, movies, and learning resources for elementary school through college with a temporary digital library card.

To apply for a temporary digital library card, call the Anderson Main Library at (864) 260-4500 from 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. Staff will ask for basic information, including address and contact information. Once library buildings reopen, patrons can come in with ID and proof of address to turn temporary digital library cards into physical library cards.
