Anderson County is proud to announce that Carolina Wings and Rotors have acquired Ryan Rotors Helicopter Services of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and will be moving this company to our new off-airport facility in Anderson this month. The new Anderson facility will also house Heli-Plane Aviation Administrative Offices, a flight simulator service, a component repair and overhaul service, a classic helicopter repair service, and an aviation coatings company.

Carolina Wings and Rotors expects to bring several new jobs to Anderson County in 2024 and expand aviation services such as external helicopter lift capabilities, agricultural services, aerial advertising, and advanced flight training for rotorcraft. “We look forward to serving the needs of Anderson County, the upstate, and our neighboring states,” said Scott Dunn, owner and operator of Carolina Rotor and Wings.

Scott Dunn of Carolina Wings and Rotors is the fixed base maintenance operator at the Anderson Regional Airport. The newly expanded services are at the county’s old public works facility on Michelin Boulevard at Highway 24.

“Carolina Wings and Rotors will be one of the largest fixed-wing repair service and paint facilities, which will be a great fit for Anderson,” said Rusty Burns, County Administrator. “Another big part of aviation for our County, which the County Council intends to grow.”
