Application for High Mileage

If the mileage on your vehicle qualifies for a high mileage reduction per the High Mileage Chart published by the South Carolina Department of Revenue, you may apply by mail, email, or in person before the tax due date on your bill. High mileage appeals can also be made directly through our website.

To complete the High Mileage Appeal Form online click here. Please allow one business day for completion. High mileage reduction online or by email may not be accepted on the same day as the due date. High mileage application online or by email will not be accepted after 4:00 on the due date.

  • The mileage is measured during the month the renewal is due.
  • The following do not qualify for a High Mileage Appeal:
    • Vehicles over 15 years old
    • Motorcycles
    • Campers and motor homes
