In an effort to do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19, Anderson County Family Court is restricting access to the public to protect the health of our staff and the citizens of Anderson County. We are still available to answer questions by phone at (864)260-4037. You may still file pleadings by mail to the address below, and we will mail any copies to you or contact you with questions as needed. Please note the following:
Only Emergency Hearings will be scheduled and heard in this office until further notice.

For legal assistance, please contact an attorney. Family Court clerks CANNOT give legal advice. You may contact SC Legal Services at 1-800-763-4825 if you cannot afford an attorney, and they will determine if you qualify for their assistance. Otherwise, you may either hire your own attorney or represent yourself. When you represent yourself, you are responsible for obtaining the correct forms and following the correct court procedures in your case. You may use the links below for further information.

To file a new child support case, visit WWW.DSS.SC.GOV and follow the blue bar link for CHILD SUPPORT. You can view the child support calculator and get access to forms to file by mail. These forms should be sent directly to the DSS Child Support office in Columbia, at the address listed on the form.
For help with your existing child support case, you may call the SC Support Distribution Unit at 1-800-768-5858 to get balances and additional information. If they cannot answer your question, you may contact us at (864)260-4037.
