FLIGHT SCHOOL OF ANDERSON OPENS AT ANDERSON REGIONAL AIRPORT
The Anderson County Council is pleased to welcome Flight School of Anderson to Anderson Regional Airport (KAND). This privately-owned enterprise offers a wide range of aviation instruction services, including private pilot, instrument, commercial pilot, and flight instructor training.
“We are very excited to be a part of the Anderson community”, said Cyndy Hollman, Chief Flight Instructor and owner of Flight School of Anderson. “We have offered aviation instructional services at Greenville Downtown Airport for several years, and now the time is right for us to expand our operations to KAND. This is a perfect facility for flight instruction, and the new terminal is ideal for our needs”.
KAND Manager Brett Garrison is enthusiastic about having Flight School of Anderson at the facility. “There is a tremendous demand in our community for aviation instruction, and it’s not just from people who want to learn to fly. Several of the seasoned pilots based here are in need of advanced training and other services offered by Cyndy and her team, so having them here will be of great benefit to the entire Anderson-area aviation community.”
Flight School of Anderson offers a team of four instructors and two aircraft. In addition, training is facilitated through the use of the school’s very own “One-G Foundation” FAA-approved flight simulator. The simulator is based on a Cessna 172 Model and features a simulated Garmin 650 Touch Screen GPS, dual flip/flop comm & nav, autopilot with flight director, and ADF.
