The President has issued a directive to display the flag of the United States at half-staff on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, Patriot Day, in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Accordingly, the Governor directs that flags atop the State Capitol be flown at half-staff from sunup until sunset, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
The Anderson County Bicentennial Parade commemorates 200 years of local history in a lively and welcoming setting. Community members are encouraged to participate and enjoy the celebration. There is no entry fee, and all participants should align with the Bicentennial theme.
