Harbor Freight Tools to present Harbor Freight Gift cards for $2,000 for tools and equipment to be used on community projects.

Anderson County, S.C. (April 2, 2020) – Harbor Freight Tools opened its doors to the Anderson community in July, 2019, at 3035 North Main Street, which is the 19th Harbor Freight Tools store in South Carolina. Harbor Freight is a national chain that first opened its first store in 1977. The Anderson location is a 15,000-square-foot store stocked with a wide selection of tools and accessories for most any project.

Habitat For Humanity Restore is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that accepts overflow items from remodeling projects and home goods. The Habitat Restore resells donations received to the general public to fund their mission of building and providing affordable shelter to people in need.

On Friday, April 3rd, at 10 o’clock, Harbor Freight Tools of Anderson store manager Lacey Taylor will make a donation of $2000 in Harbor Freight gift cards to Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County at their Restore location on Murray Avenue. The gift will be used to purchase tools and equipment at the Harbor Freight Anderson store toward supporting the Habitat Restore mission of providing shelter in Anderson County.

This donation is the second donation that Harbor Freight Tools has made to the Anderson community. Recently, Harbor Freight Tools of Anderson donated two loads of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to AnMed Health for healthcare professionals’ protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Anderson County appreciates Harbor Freight’s caring and being an active member of our community and in meeting the needs of our citizens,” said County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn.  This donation was part of a nationwide-initiative on behalf of each of Harbor Freight’s more than 1000 retail stores to donate their PPE inventory to their local hospitals.

Habitat for Humanity Restore is located at 210 South Murray Avenue, Anderson.
