Hurricane Springs Park has officially reopened its press box and concession stand, thanks to the efforts of Jimmy Davis and the Wren Youth Association.
The facility had been rendered unusable in 2023 following an act of vandalism. Its restoration marks an important milestone for the park, which serves as a central hub for youth athletics, including baseball, softball, football, and soccer programs that benefit hundreds of local children and teens each year.
“We are so proud to have this facility up and running again. It goes to show how resilient our community is” said Councilman Davis. “We are especially thankful for the generous support of Senator Richard Cash—this project would not have been possible without his help.”
Additional upgrades to the ballfields are currently in progress, including lighting repairs and laser grading. Anderson County extends its appreciation to Senator Cash for his continued support of local community development initiatives.
