Beginning Monday, December 13th, KidVenture playground will be closed to the public. Anderson County Council recently approved a $2.3M contract with Foothills Contracting Service, LLC for the construction of a new playground and splash pad.
The new KidVenture design is based on a flower. Each petal will have play equipment for a different age group. The new design also includes a splash pad. KidVenture will be fully ADA-compliant, so children of all abilities can play with each other. Construction is projected to be complete in May 2022.
The playground facility is located at the Anderson Sports & Entertainment Center, 3027 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Anderson.
