Anderson County Emergency Management is changing how they approach people with special needs in a life-threatening emergency.

The Special Needs Registry gives first responder details about a person, and their condition, at their fingertips before ever responding to an emergency.  Register yourself or someone you know with special needs by simply inputting their address, their disability and a few details about how best to interact with them.

“We can now provide critical information to our first responders, allowing them to respond with all the vital information they need while enroute,” Josh Hawkins, Emergency Management Director said.

The information goes directly to dispatch so first responders are better equipped to help you and your family as they’re en route to your home.
