For Immediate Release | Anderson, SC

Wednesday, April 17, 2019 is a great day for the youth of Pendleton Recreation Association in Anderson County. An Anderson County global business, Specialized Turf Equipment Company (STEC Pronounced [ST-ECK]) is making their playing fields safer and equal to their competition.

STEC is the industry leader in Specialized Turf Equipment distribution and is putting their expertise and manpower to work in their backyard.  They will be renovating the infields of the three ball fields so they will lay level and help drainage and improve safety for players.  They will be improving the designated football area by aerating and top dressing in order to have noticeable improvement by the fall season.

“I am excited to see local people and businesses getting involved and giving back to their community. This is great for the Town of Pendleton and Anderson County District 4.  STEC is a great company and thank you to David Taylor and his team for all their hard work” states the honorable Brett Sanders, County Council District 4 representative.

The Pendleton Recreation Association donated $2500 for the sand and STEC is donating the additional $10,000 of seed, fertilizer, equipment and labor costs.

Pendleton Recreation Association President, Billy Wheeler, says “This is great for the Pendleton Area. We have been waiting for 6 or 7 years to have this done.  This will help with runoff and make our fields safer for our kids.”

STEC Equipment’s history dates back over 10 years. Founded by David Taylor, who left his home country of England to establish what was then BLEC USA. As General Manager, David built the American operation from scratch, essentially a one man show. In 2009 the launch of STEC Equipment was inevitable. This transition from BLEC USA to STEC Equipment was not only seamless, but proved to be successful. STEC began to expand their product line by importing other European equipment which they felt would be of great value to the American consumer. The company has also partnered with several other major manufacturers to bring a comprehensive product offering. With a commitment to QUALITY, and a passion for sourcing the latest INNOVATION from around Europe and North America, STEC Equipment has grown to be the “go to” supplier for specialized turf equipment.
