Anderson County Summary Court Announces Modified Operations

Due to concerns for public health involving the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Anderson County Summary Courts Criminal/Traffic and Civil Court Cases have been postponed through April 13, 2020.  This includes all Bench and Jury Trials both criminal, traffic and civil.

Anderson County Closes All County Parks Until Further Notice

All Anderson County parks and public spaces closed until further notice. All County park restroom facilities will also be closed to the public. This park closure includes: Kid Venture, Green Pond, and McFalls Landing.

Library Offers Limited Service Through March 31

In order to help prevent the further spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community, the Anderson County Library System will be on very limited service beginning Tuesday, March 17. All library buildings will be closed to the public. Books and materials will be available by pick up only until 6:00 p.m. This will be in effect at least until March 31 with continuing evaluation.

Anderson County Tenth Judicial Circuit Modifies Court Schedule

Due to concerns for public health involving the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the following courts have canceled all jury trials, non-jury matters, and motions in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, including: Court of Common Pleas and General Sessions Court, Master-in-Equity Court and Family Court through April 3, 2020. Transfer Court for Thursday, March 19th has been canceled.

Anderson County Announces Modified Operations Related to COVID-19

Anderson County is announcing changes in its operations effective today, March 15th, following identification of two presumptive positive cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. The changes will last through the end of March with the possibility of extension depending upon developments in that timeframe.

EVENT POSTPONED: Anglers to Fish the Crappie USA Super Event, March 20-21

Crappie anglers from several states will travel to Lake Hartwell at Anderson, SC for a Crappie USA Tournament Trail event presented by Bass Pro Shops Cabela’s. Local and traveling anglers will be vying for cash, prizes, and an opportunity to compete at the 2020 Crappie USA Classic which will feature a guaranteed payout of $125,000 in cash and prizes. Jury Summons Dismissed for the weeks of March 23 & March 30, 2020

Due to concerns for public health involving the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Judges of the Tenth Judicial Circuit have excused any citizens called to jury duty for Circuit Court for the weeks of March 23rd and March 30th.  If you received a juror summons, you do NOT have to appear at the Anderson County Courthouse.
