FLW Announces Schedule for 2020 College Fishing Tournament

Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) announced Thursday the schedule, rules and entry dates for the 2020 FLW College Fishing presented by YETI season, highlighted by the FLW College Fishing National Championship on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Florida, and advancement opportunities for anglers to compete in the Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American and the FLW Series Championship. All teams also now have the freedom to add as many non conference tournaments to their schedule as they like.

High-Speed Passenger Rail: An Exciting Opportunity for the Future of Anderson County

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Federal Railroad Authority (FRA) have just released the first phase of their study to locate a high-speed passenger rail service between Atlanta and Charlotte. All three of the possible routes under review pass through Upstate South Carolina. Two of the three possible routes have proposed stops in Anderson County. High-speed interstate rail service is a very exciting prospect for Anderson County. It provides expanded business and employment opportunities, increased visitation to our community, access to regional cultural and entertainment opportunities, and greater connections among friends and families across the region. GDOT and FRA are accepting public comments through Monday, November 4th. Palmetto Boat Center High School Bass Tournament on October 19, Anderson, SC

The 2019/20 Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail will visit Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  Blast off will be approximately 7:20 am.  Weigh in for middle school teams will begin at 1:30 pm.  High School teams will start at 3:00 pm.  The event will be held at the Green Pond Landing & Event Center, which is located at 470 Old Green Pond Road, Anderson, SC 29625. The event is free to the public.

Georgia and South Carolina Divisions Head to Lake Hartwell October 5-6th

American Bass Anglers announced today the Bass Pro Shops Open Series South Carolina Division and Georgia Division will hold their final event of the 2019 season on October 05-06, 2019 on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina.  Anglers from both States are competing for cash and prizes as well as positions in the 2020 Ray Scott Championship to be held on Lake Hartwell in April 2020, where over $400,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs.
