Veterans Affairs to Open Office in Powdersville Library

Anderson County Veterans Affairs is set to open a satellite office at the Anderson County Library in the Powdersville. Beginning May 8, 2019, a VA accredited representative will be available each Wednesday at the Powdersville Branch Library. The representative will assist veterans and surviving spouses with the filing of claims for possible VA benefits. The County Veterans Affairs Office looks forward to extending veteran services to the heroes in the northern portion of our County.

T-H MARINE FLW BASS FISHING LEAGUE RETURNS TO LAKE HARTWELL

The FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) tournament season will continue Saturday, May 11, with a T-H Marine FLW BFL Savannah River Division tournament on Lake Hartwell. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000 respectively in the one-day tournament.

Crappie USA Travels to Lake Hartwell 

Participants will compete in amateur and pro divisions at the May 4, 2019 crappie tournament at Anderson, SC. Crappie anglers from several states will travel to Lake Hartwell to participate in a Crappie USA (CUSA) Tournament Trail event presented by Bass Pro Shops Cabela’s. Local and traveling anglers will be vying for cash, prizes, and an opportunity to compete at the 2019 CUSA Classic which will feature a guaranteed payout of $125,000 in cash and prizes.
